On Whims of War Thine ire doth envenom my soul—treachery Rusted clocks of Armageddon toll in screams of misery Myriad tarns of crimson red, blanketing cold tyranny Mindless throngs of acquiescence storm the earth in false piety Venomous, perfidious, lancing flesh with daggers of cant Ordained lie, hypocrisy, dissolving many to one—legions of subservience Prey on the weak, envisioned automaton scourge Preemptive strike upon intrinsic morality Knotted social fabrication, grasp for faith in desperation Succumb to indoctrination, prey to forgery Soiled dove of warring essence, whoring out our independence—can you see the lie? Propaganda tainting unalienable liberation, rights defiled, impunity, admonish enlightenment Our hearts remain the principal theatre of war Assimilated mouthless warriors, defending the arcane whims of imperial sovereignty See through fogged lenses of the status quo. Must we forget that free will lost is slavery? Marching toward our sepulchers in ranks of blatant callousness Trade our lives for abstract ideology, none to serve the truth Where have we lost our unfettered freedoms so pure? Never again to see beyond proximate illusionary biases Exhume autonomy from inert appeasing minds Never to question faith, nor intrusive servants of evil Corpses drained of inspiration kneel before supremacy Consciousness imprisoned in dungeons of customary confirmation Oppressing converted flesh, to fulfill prophesies of false destiny Sow the seed of righteous anger, lest we smite our discretion Dissection of subjective thought, heed not the fallacy in question Conquering our moral failures, maxims of truth dishonored Retroactive paranoia consecrating active hatred, passive lives maligned in flames of rage
